“WILLING TO CONTEST AGAINST PRAKASH SINGH BADAL”- CAPT. AMARINDER SINGH

Amritsar: Punjab Congress president Capt. Amarinder on Saturday said that he was willing to fight the upcoming assembly elections against Chief Minister Parkash Singh Badal from Lambi — the constituency from where Mr. Badal is in the electoral fray.

“I want to fight the chief minister on his home turf of Lambi with an aim to defeat all the top Akali leaders who were responsible for destroying the state,” he told reporters in Amritsar as he welcomed into the Congress fold prominent former AAP leader Dr. Daljit Singh.

“I will fight both Lambi and Patiala, if permitted by the Congress high command,” he said.

Capt. Amarinder said once in power, his government would open a probe into all Akali scams and punish every person found guilty of any criminal deed, especially drug trade.
