YOGA GURU BABA RAMDEV TO FACE ARREST OVER HIS CONTROVERSIAL REMARK ON CONGRESS VP RAHUL GANDHI

Patna: Yoga guru Ramdev faces arrest over his ‘honeymoon’ remark on Congress Vice President Rahul Gandhi. Three FIRs have been filed against him under the SC/ST Act in UP. The FIRs have been filed in Gorakhpur, Agra and Patna.

The hearing for these cases will take place in Patna on Tuesday. The FIRs have been lodged against him for his comment that the ‘Congress Vice President only visits Dalit homes for picnics and honeymoons’.

Ramdev clarifying his stand on his remarks said,I used the word ‘honeymoon’ in a political context and they have changed the context. The Congress has used the Dalits. I say that Sonia Gandhi has insulted the Dalits,” he said.

“The Nehru family, the mother-son duo is responsible for the problems in the country. They have used their power to make (Robert) Vadra rich. They have used the poor to make money,” he said.
