ALL INDIA TRINAMOOL CONGRESS RAJYA SABHA MP SRINJOY BOSE ARRESTED IN CONNECTION TO SARADHA SCAM
The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) arrested on Friday, All India Trinamool Congress (AITC), Rajya Sabha MP Srinjoy Bose in connection with the Saradha scam.The MP is also a prominent businessman and has interest in cargo handling and media. He is the owner and the Editor of a hugely circulated Bengali daily, Sambad Pratidin.
Earlier in the day when he appeared before the CBI, Mr. Bose said that he was called as a witness and will extend all cooperation in the case. “I have done nothing wrong so why should I be worried,” he told the journalists while entering the CBI office.
Mr. Bose is the second Rajya Sabha MP to be arrested in the scam, the first being Kunal Ghosh who is behind bars for over a year now. Mr. Ghosh used to work in Sambad Pratidin.
