Scrolling on Sonyliv app i was just trying to find out some interesting webseries when my vision caught the attention of this Harshad Mehta name mentioned on a series Scam 1922.
The story is set in the backdrop of that era and it’s look a good photography capturing as it does gives you a true feel of that time where you see a Padmini Fiat being driven and Lexus a charmer.
It really is a good webseries which gives a normal layman new to stock investing a fair idea of how the stock market can be manipulated.The role played the character of Harshad Mehta is also striking .The jobers,the physical shares does comes to your mind who may have done share trading from that time.
It shows how a normal man with grit and determination is able to do the greatest scam in the history of India stock market.
Today the methods may have become advanced but i think this practise of increasing the Earning per share or PE of stocks might still exist and the operators just might have become more advanced as lot of research resources are now available on fingertips of organisations.
