In all, 276 trainee soldiers were inducted into Indian Army and a passing out parade to mark the culmination of their training was held at Madras Engineer Group and Centre Drill Grounds here on Saturday.
The parents of the trainee soldiers were presented ‘Gaurav Padak’, according to a release here.
The solemn event was reviewed by Brig Vikas Saini, Commandant, Parachute Regiment Training Centre.
He Congratulated the passing out soldiers for their excellent drill and training standards achieved.
The prizes and certificates for soldiers standing best in Drill, Physical Training, Weapon Training and Field Engineering were presented during the Ceremony.
