New Delhi: ACP Amit Singh accompanied with a driver was in govt vehicle, having no police mark. They were in civil dress and were on govt duty. When they reached opposite Lodhi Road Crematorium, one vehicle driven by a minor, hit the side of govt vehicle. The Driver of govt vehicle signaled him to drive properly but he do not pay any attention and continued to drive vehicle rash and negligently. He was stopped and govt vehicle driver went to him to make him understand to drive properly. At this time the people were gathered. A motorcycle was also behind them was also stopped there. ACP came out from the vehicle to protect the driver, who was surrounded by the gathering. The motorcycle borne engaged with ACP and they attacked ACP with helmet. One of the attacker was wearing punch and hit the ACP. ACP protected himself. 3 persons have been apprehended on the spot. ACP was shifted to AIIMS TRAUMA CENTRE for medical assistance and he is now out of danger.
