New Delhi: Among public and private sector companies, Maharatna engineering and manufacturing enterprise, Bharat Heavy Electricals Limited (BHEL) has been conferred the ‘ICAI National Award for Excellence in Cost Management 2013’. The award was presented by Jayant Sinha, Union Minister of State for Finance to B. Prasada Rao, Chairman & Managing Director, BHEL and P.K. Bajpai, Director (Finance), BHEL, at a function in New Delhi.
BHEL has been awarded the recognition for the ninth successive year, having earlier won the awards uninterruptedly from 2005 onwards. An independent jury unanimously selected BHEL for the First Award in the PSU Manufacturing Organisation Large category, for the Award for 2013.
