- “DARING ACT” -DELHI POLICE WOMEN STAFF NABS A JILTED LOVER WITH LOADED PISTOL DETERMINED TO KILL THE GIRL AND HIMSELF

In a daring efforts of women personnel namely HC Jashvini and Ct. Pooja of P.S. Adarsh Nagar, North-West District have resulted in nabbing of a jilted lover with loaded country made pistol who was obsessive in one sided love affair. The women staff shown lot of courage in the nabbing accused red handed with pistol. The person has been identified as Sunil, age 34 years, resident of Azadpur Village. The suicide note recovered from the alleged suggest that he was determined to kill the girl and himself. The alleged had also been arrested in a previous case FIR No.454/15 U/s 354 IPC, PS Adarsh Nagar, Delhi on the complaint of the girl.
Brief Facts
Brief facts of the case are that On 28.01.16 at around 1.15 PM while W/HC Jaswini and W/Ct. Pooja were present in the area of Lal Bagh for meeting with women and girls under the Parivartan Scheme, someone told them that a person having pistol in his hand taking a girl forcefully. Both women police officers rushed towards that person and at some distance they found a person having one pistol in his hand and taking the girl at gun point. While moving he was challenging if anyone dared to save this girl, he would shoot that person. He was also screaming that he would shoot this girl. Both the women police officers warned him and asked him to release the girl but he did not stop.
Both the police officer showing courage and presence of mind, and without caring for their lives jumped and overpowered the accused. W/HC Jasvini snatched the pistol and W/Ct Pooja released the girl from the clutches of accused who was identified as Sunil (35 years) S/O Santrom R/O H. No.10, Village Azad Pur, Delhi. Before overpowering the accused, the accused took the girl forcefully at gun point from a Fashion Designing Institute in Wazir Pur Industrial Area.
As the accused Sunil was overpowered by the lady police officers he suddenly pushed both of them and ran away but again he was overpowered. In the meantime accused Sunil took out one small plastic box and swallowed some pills from it. W/HC Jaswani tried to take out those pills from his mouth. On the basis of PCR call SHO with staff from PS Adarsh Nagar also reached the spot. Accused Sunil was rushed to Babu Jagjivan Ram Memorial Hospital immediately where he was admitted and is under treatment. One country made pistol with three live rounds (one loaded round) and two empty cartridges were recovered from the possession of the accused Sunil. Case vide FIR No 46/16 U/S 365/307/506 IPC & 25/27 Arms Act dated 28.01.2016 has been registered at PS Ashok Vihar, Delhi.
In this manner W/HC Jaswani, No.54/NW and W/Ct Pooja, No.2022/NW have done an exceptionally work without caring for their own lives and saved the kidnapped girl. Both will be recommended for suitable rewards. The victim’s family has also appreciated the efforts of the duo in saving the life of the victim girl.
PROFILE OF ACCUSED PERSON
Sunil (35 years) S/o Santram R/o Village Azadpur, Delhi, is a divorcee and is a taxi driver. The accused sunil has also been arrested is in case FIR No.454/15 U/s 354 IPC, PS Adarsh Nagar, Delhi on the complaint of same girl in the month of July 2015.
