Short supply of water in some areas in Delhi.  Raw water continues to be curtailed by Haryana

 

DELHI JAL BOARD CURTAILS 25% WATER SUPPLY FROM WAZIRABAD AND CHANDRAWAL PLANTS DUE TO SUDDEN RISE IN AMMONIA LEVEL IN YAMUNA

New Delhi: Due to a sudden increase in the ammonia level in the River Yamuna potable water production from the Wazirabad and Chandrawal Water Treatment Plants has been curtailed by 25%.  Water supply from both these Plants will be available at low pressure in the morning of 26.01.2016 or untill the ammonia level reaches the acceptable limit.

The areas affected are the NDMC area, North Delhi, North West Delhi, Central Delhi and part of West and South Delhi, other areas affected are Chandni Chowk, Jama Masjid, Civil Lines, Subhash Park, Mukherjee Nagar, Shakti Nagar, Adarsh Nagar, Model Town Jahangir Puri, Wazirpur Industrial area, Punjabi Bagh, Gulabi Bagh, Hindu Rao, Jhandewalan, Motia Khan, Pahar Ganj, Karol Bagh, Old Rajinder Nagar, Naya Bazar, East & West Patel Nagar, Malka Ganj and their adjoining areas.
