Government of India sets up dedicated 586 COVID-19 Hospitals with capacity of more than 1 lakh isolation beds

One thousand 35 fresh confirmed cases of novel Coronavirus or COVID-19 have been reported in the country in the last 24 hours taking the total number to 7447. Out of these, 642 patients have recovered and discharged the from hospitals, while 239 patients have died.

Joint Secretary, Ministry of Health and Family welfare Lav Aggarwal informed that as of now 586 dedicated COVID 19 Hospitals have been set up with a capacity of more than 1 lakh isolation beds and around 11,500 isolation beds. He said, this figure is being augmented every day, based on evolving situation.
