Manjinder Singh Sirsa honoured with Kaumi Award

The Delhi Sikh Gurudwara Management Committee General Secretary Mr. Manjinder Singh Sirsa was today honoured by the Shiromani Gurudwara Prabhandhak Committee Amritsar and the Shiromani Akali Dal for his role and efforts for bringing of 1984 Sikh genocide including Sajjan Kumar and others to book and ultimately sentencing them to jail. In a function held in Amritsar today the SGPC Chief Bhai Gobind Singh Longowal and the Shiromani Akali Dal President Mr. Sukhbir Singh Badal and other dignitaries presented the Kaumi Award to Mr. Sirsa. Speaking on the occasion Bhai Longowal said that Mr Sirsa has always remained pro active while dealing with 1984 Sikh genocide cases. He not only gave assurances to families of victims but also helped them financially, legally and morally to keep their spirits high for deposing against the guilty in courts. While lauding the efforts of Mr. Sirsa, Speakers on the occasion said that he is most active leader who remained always at forefront for protecting the victims and showed exemplary courage to even publicly telling the guilty that they will be punished for their role in 1984 Sikh genocide cases. They said that he had even not refrained from physically teaching a lesson to the guilty in the Patiala House Court complex and this action has no parallel at present.
