A 2020-batch IPS officer of Manipur cadre, Sunil Dhanwanta, recently took out his wedding procession under police protection in rural Jaipur in Rajasthan. The protection was given in view of past incidents when upper caste people objected to such events. Dhanwanta, 26, rode a mare and the wedding party left for Haryana, a senior police officer said.
