Punjab National Bank today celebrated ots 125th foundation day at Vigyan Bhavan,New Delhi.The honbl’e Vice President of India, Sh.M Venkaiah Naidu graced the occassion.
The Vice president unleashed a stamp on the occassion and also a coffee table book. He also presented a shawl and momento to the Grandson and Granddaughter of Lala Lajpat Rai.
Speaking on the occassion Vice President talked about the Jan Dhan accounts which were opened in a large number by banks with same manpower and no overtime being made,bringing banking closer to masses in India at rural level too.He also talked about digital payment systems like Bhim,rupay,RTGS system of banks which made payment system so fast and transparent.
The MD & Ceo of the bank Sunil Sethi & the Chairman too addressed the gathering which had Vigilance commissioner and other eminent people presence.
