PNB Launches its E-University ‘PNB UNIV’
Smt. Usha Ananthasubramanian, Managing Director & CEO, Punjab National Bank (PNB) launched ‘PNB UNIV’ a Mobile App & Web Based E- learning portal to widen the reach of trainings and leverage technology for its employees.
She called upon the staff members that ‘PNB UNIV’ will bring ‘learning to people’ instead of ‘people to learning’. It will serve as bedrock to improve training delivery, provide a quick access to quality curriculum and high quality training 24×7 right on the fingertips even while on the move across the globe.
PNB UNIV shall provide cost effective, time saving learning platform and enjoyable learning through Animated Audio-Video Presentations, Assessment Test, Employees’ Discussion Forum, Employee Surveys, Gist of Circulars, News, RBI Links, Motivational Talk Links, etc. It offers instructional write ups and presentations on all key areas of the bank’s activities with opportunity to employees for self assessing their progress in learning.
Punjab National Bank through over 6800 branches and over 70,000 employees spread across the length & breadth of the country is catering to 100 million plus customers. Over 65% of Bank’s branches are located in Rural and Semi Urban areas, which is the highest amongst peer groups. It’s a unique initiative to synergize Bank’s Business Vision with Human Capital Goals and overcome obstacles to rekindle and upgrade the skills of the employees spread across the vast geographical network.
