P V Ramesh, an IAS officer of the 1985 batch of Andhra Pradesh Cadre, has taken over as its Chairman and Managing Director State-run Rural Electrification Corp (REC) .
Prior to joining REC, Ramesh was the Special Chief Secretary, Environment, Forest, Science & Technology and Development Commissioner in Andhra Pradesh.
Ramesh is a trained Doctor from the Christian Medical College & Hospital, Vellore. He has, during his service tenure of over 31 years, held important positions of Principal Finance Secretary, Principal Secretary Dept of Health and Family Welfare.
