Punjab & Sind Bank pays Rs.36.61 crore Dividend to the Government of India
Punjab & Sind Bank paid Rs.36.61 crore dividend to the Govt. of India for the financial year 2011-2012.Sh.D.P. Singh,IAS,Chairman & Managing Director of the Bank, presented a cheque of the dividend amount to Sh.P.Chidambaram,Hon’ble Finance Minister of India.The Bank has also paid a dividend distribution tax of Rs.5.94 crore on the above to the exchequer. The Board of the Bank had earlier approved 20% dividend per equity share for the financial year. The total payment made to the Govt,of India & exchequer on account of dividend on equity PNCPS & interest on IPDI & PCPS is Rs.95.68 crore.
