VIDYA BALAN ASSOCIATES HERSELF WITH SAMAJWADI PENSION SCHEME BECOMES THE BRAND AMBASSADOR

UP: Chief Minister Akhilesh Yadav has said that in future cent percent eligible poor women in the state would be covered under the Samajwadi Pension Scheme and pointed out how this initiative of his government had enhanced the respect and honour of women. He Added that a scheme of such a mammoth scale was not being run anywhere in the country.A large number of poor families in the state were being benefited through the scheme, the Chief Minister said while announcing that the pension amount would now on directly reach the bank accounts of the beneficiaries every month.
The Chief Minister was speakingat his official residence today at the ceremony held to announce the naming of film actress  Vidya Balan, as the ‘brand ambassador’ of the scheme.
On this occasion he thanked the acclaimed actress for accepting the proposal to be the brand ambassador and added that with the association of Vidya Balan with the Samajwadi pension Scheme, the ambitious scheme would get further boosted up, specially in rural areas. Yadav further said that the pension scheme was playing an active rolein allowing women to lead their lives with their head held high. This would also help them in education and health of their children, he elaborated.
The Chief Minister also informed that under the Samajwadi Pension Scheme, the family woman head is given priority over others and that 55 lakh poor families in the state were being covered under it. He also detailed various projects and welfare schemes like housing of rural poor, free laptops to meritorious students, 102 and 108 ambulance services and 1090 Women Power Line, which were helping women in a big way.
Yadav also informed that under the Pension Scheme. Rs 500 was being given per month to beneficiaries through direct bank transfer and that the scheme proves the commitment and concerns for the poor, helpless and the needy. He also expressed hope that the Samajwadi Pension Scheme would help in improving the economic, social,educational and healthcare indices and women would take full benefit of the scheme.
Vidya Balan expressed her gratitude for being named the brand ambassador for the flagship scheme and said it was a happy and proud moment for her. The scheme, she said, would go a longway in empowering women and changing their lives for good. She also assured ofher all possible support towards value adding to the scheme.
Dimple Yadav M.P. said the scheme was bringing about a drastic change in the living standards of women and children. Under the scheme, if education of children and their health is improved, the pension amount can be enhanced to Rs 750 per month. She also spoke on various measures initiated by the state government to improve the living standards of the people of UP and to usher in progress and prosperity.She also thanked Ms. Vidya Balan for agreeing to be the brand ambassador of the pension scheme.
